Assistant Analyst – Logistics, Distribution & Transportation

About the role

The Assistant Analyst will support the Logistics, Distribution & Transportation (LD&T) team in planning and executing both domestic and international shipments. You will work closely with supply‑chain planning, customer service, warehousing, master data, and carrier partners to ensure service levels and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute transportation plans for domestic and international logistics.
• Transfer shipment data to ERP and WMS systems and manage timelines.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve unloading schedules, prioritisation, and delivery delays.
• Handle exceptions such as 24‑hour deliveries, spot orders, and dedicated truck bookings.
• Manage warehouse slot and capacity requirements.
• Collaborate on issue resolution and claims management with customer service and warehouse teams.
• Analyse carrier feedback, optimise freight modes (FTL, LTL, RT, dedicated trucks) and mitigate delays.
• Prepare and communicate performance reports, KPI evaluations and carrier scorecards.
• Process carrier invoices, maintain selection rules, and monitor service compliance.
• Support procurement in carrier bidding and capacity forecasting.

Required profile

• University degree.
• 0‑2 years of experience in a similar logistics or transportation role, preferably in FMCG.
• Knowledge of European driver and vehicle regulations is a plus.
• Familiarity with Lean principles is desirable.
• Fluent written and spoken English; German is an advantage.
