Assistant Construction Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Construction Manager to support day‑to‑day site activities from project initiation through completion. Working closely with the Construction Manager, you will help coordinate teams, monitor progress and ensure quality, safety and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily construction activities on site and liaise with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Track project progress against schedules and budgets, reporting any deviations.
• Ensure works are carried out according to drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Support enforcement of health, safety and environmental policies on site.
• Help review and implement construction methodologies, work plans and resource allocation.
• Supervise subcontractors under the Construction Manager’s direction and verify contractual compliance.
• Participate in procurement, reviewing technical submissions and material approvals.
• Identify risks and issues, escalating them with recommended mitigation actions.
• Assist in managing variations, claims and contractual matters.
• Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and maintain site documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in construction, preferably in site supervision or coordination.
• Familiarity with commercial, residential or infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of construction processes, standards and regulations.
