Assistant Distribution Center Supervisor

About the role

Talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is hiring an Assistant Distribution Center Supervisor in Cairo. The role covers daily floor operations across receiving, putaway, picking, packing, dispatch, quality and inventory control, and leads a shift or team of about 20 to 30 full-time and outsourced personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Run daily floor operations and drive team-level KPIs such as picking accuracy, throughput and dispatch SLAs, while identifying workflow improvements.
• Ensure proper use, care and basic maintenance of warehouse equipment (MHE, hoists, RF scanners).
• Monitor damage, defects and picking errors, and lead root-cause investigations.
• Manage the shift/team, hold monthly 1-on-1s, track attendance and build development plans for team members.
• Take part in recruitment, onboarding and training of new hires and contingent staff, and enforce company policies and safety protocols.
• Work with Operations Leaders, Demand Planning, Inventory Control and Finance, and with agency leaders and other shift supervisors.
• Account for stock levels, product availability and cost containment, and achieve KPIs such as inventory variance, damage reduction, fulfillment rate, UPH targets, attendance, team retention and zero-accident safety compliance.

Required profile

• At least 5 to 7 years of experience in warehousing and distribution centers.
• Solid knowledge of DC operations and inventory control, and basic finance knowledge.
• Very good English is highly advantageous.
• Good communication, interpersonal and intercultural skills, and a hands-on approach.
