Assistant Event Manager – Corporate

About the role

The Assistant Event Manager supports the Event Manager in delivering high‑quality meetings and corporate events for a leading hospitality brand. You will help implement brand service strategies, ensure client satisfaction, and contribute to revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating and executing meetings, conferences and special events.
• Conduct daily walk‑throughs of banquet areas to maintain quality standards and resolve issues.
• Research competitor offerings, review event schedules and troubleshoot potential conflicts.
• Coordinate internal groups that impact property operations and oversee cleaning, maintenance and equipment inventory.
• Support budget preparation, vendor negotiations and the creation of the annual banquet budget.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by consulting with clients to define event objectives and requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in event management, food & beverage, sales or marketing, OR a 2‑year degree in Hospitality, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration, etc., with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
