About the role

The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences at a 5‑star hotel in Safaga. Working closely with the front desk team, the role ensures smooth daily operations, drives revenue through upselling, and upholds Kempinski service standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee front office activities such as check‑in, check‑out and guest assistance while adhering to hotel policies.
  • Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing front office procedures and standards.
  • Recruit, train, schedule and manage front office staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Control room inventory, group blocking, packages and upselling to maximize revenue.
  • Maintain high visibility during peak periods, address guest complaints and ensure satisfaction.
  • Welcome VIP guests, escort them to rooms and provide personalized service throughout their stay.
  • Coordinate with Executive Office, Housekeeping, Sales & Marketing, Engineering and Security to guarantee seamless guest service.
  • Identify training needs, plan and monitor training activities for all front office sections.
  • Assist in budget preparation and manage expenses within approved limits.
  • Stay informed on emergency procedures, promotions, VIP arrivals and upcoming events, briefing staff accordingly.

Required profile

  • 1‑3 years of experience in a front office management role, preferably in a 5‑star hotel.
  • Strong organizational, time‑management and communication abilities.
  • Proactive hospitality mindset with excellent guest service orientation.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and maintain a visible presence during busy periods.

Required skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experienced with Opera property management system.
