Assistant Housekeeping Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the delivery of exceptional cleanliness and guest experience across our luxury hotel. You will work closely with the Front Desk, Engineering, and housekeeping teams to ensure operational excellence and uphold Accor’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping activities, allocate tasks and room assignments based on occupancy.
• Conduct inspections of VIP rooms, guest rooms, public areas and corridors to ensure compliance with Mövenpick and Accor hygiene standards.
• Coordinate with Front Desk for real‑time room status updates and early check‑ins.
• Partner with Engineering to log defects, schedule deep cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate supervisors, room attendants and public area cleaners.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, attendance and payroll in line with Egyptian labor laws.
• Monitor inventories of linens, uniforms, amenities and chemicals, control waste and support budget compliance.
• Handle guest complaints and special requests promptly, and analyse satisfaction surveys for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive housekeeping experience in a 5‑star hotel, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
• Previous experience within the Accor network or another premium international brand is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, service orientation, attention to detail, teamwork and professional presentation.
