Assistant Manager – Demand Planning

About the role

talabat is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead demand planning and replenishment for Tmart stores and warehouses across Egypt. You will be responsible for optimizing inventory, managing high‑volume purchase orders and ensuring seamless transition to third‑party logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Organise the transition to 3PL, manage relationships and apply Egypt‑specific best practices.
• Oversee demand planning and replenishment for all Tmart stores and distribution centres.
• Manage stock valued at approximately AED 20 million and issue around 8,000 purchase orders weekly.
• Produce timely and accurate inventory analysis and purchase forecasts.
• Provide demand‑planning insights, initiatives and ageing‑stock optimisation to meet business targets.
• Identify and implement solutions for stock issues in warehouses and stores.
• Guide store supervisors and administrators to ensure smooth workflow.
• Collaborate proactively with commercial and operations teams to protect supply continuity.
• Lead and develop a team of four demand planners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in demand planning, inventory management or supply‑chain replenishment.
• Experience managing high‑value stock and large volumes of purchase orders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small team.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
