Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

About the role

The Louisiana State University of Alexandria seeks an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach to support the Head Coach in running a competitive NAIA basketball program. This full‑time, on‑site position involves coaching, recruiting, and student‑athlete development within the LSUA Athletics department.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Men’s Basketball Coach in daily program management and administration.
• Recruit and evaluate prospective student‑athletes in accordance with NAIA and A.I.I. regulations.
• Oversee student managers and delegate administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with sports‑medicine staff and team physicians to ensure athlete health and safety.
• Participate in fundraising events, camps, and community outreach activities.
• Maintain knowledge of LSUA, RRAC, and NAIA rules; ensure compliance.
• Support weight, fitness, and skill‑development training programs.
• Assist with facility maintenance and equipment inventory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (any field).
