Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

Tayf Egypt is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join its on‑site team in Cairo. This full‑time position supports the Restaurant Manager in delivering consistent, high‑quality service and operational excellence across the venue.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in supervising daily front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house activities.
• Coordinate staff schedules, oversee shift handovers, and ensure smooth service flow.
• Monitor food and beverage quality, maintaining compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints, striving to improve customer satisfaction.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of frontline staff.
• Manage inventory, place orders, and track stock levels.
• Prepare accurate operational reports and contribute to performance analysis.
• Collaborate with leadership on sales promotions and process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑facing experience with a focus on satisfaction and service.
• Proven background in hiring, onboarding, and training restaurant staff.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and management.
• Solid understanding of food & beverage operations, menu knowledge, and quality control.
• Prior supervisory or managerial experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Organizational and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and inventory management.
