Associate Inventory Controller – Grocery Operations

About the role

talabat is expanding its grocery brand tMart across the Middle East and needs an Associate Inventory Controller to ensure accurate stock management and support rapid 30‑minute delivery. You will work closely with store teams, finance, and senior leadership to keep inventory levels optimal and minimize shrinkage.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily stock movements and generate inventory adjustment reports.
• Produce category‑level stock reports for all tMart stores.
• Assist stores with receiving deliveries, handling purchase order returns, and resolving operational stock issues.
• Conduct stock‑take and cycle counts across active locations.
• Match invoices with finance records and flag discrepancies.
• Prepare weekly inventory adjustment summaries for the General Manager, including shrinkage percentages.
• Perform spot checks and store visits to investigate inventory variances.
• Report system issues that affect stock data and coordinate resolutions.
• Execute monthly reconciliation with finance and deliver turnover reports.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in inventory management or a related logistics function.
• Highly detail‑oriented, structured, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Comfortable interacting with senior executives and managing multiple stakeholder expectations.
• Proactive problem‑solver who thrives in dynamic, fast‑changing environments.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities; hands‑on with reporting tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills; able to motivate cross‑functional teams.
• Fluent English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
