AVP – Operations Excellence – Efficiency Initiatives Projects

About the role

The Assistant Vice President – Operations Excellence will lead the design and delivery of efficiency initiatives across all units of Group Operations at Mashreq Bank. Reporting to the VP of Operations Excellence, the role drives system, process and tool optimisation to enhance operational effectiveness in a multi‑country, matrix environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional projects that improve operational efficiency and ensure successful delivery against goals.
• Collaborate with departmental heads and stakeholders to identify optimisation opportunities and align initiatives with Group Operations objectives.
• Select, implement and maintain operational management systems and tools that support efficiency programmes.
• Develop, monitor and report on performance metrics, KPIs and trends for senior management.
• Drive change‑management activities to facilitate smooth adoption of new processes and best practices.
• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to secure alignment and support for initiatives.

Required profile

• Significant experience in operational management, process improvement and change management within a large, matrixed organisation.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary project teams and deliver results across multiple countries.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience developing and tracking performance metrics.
• Excellent stakeholder‑engagement and communication skills.
