Azure Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines on the Azure platform. You will own the full data lifecycle—from ingestion to transformation and delivery—while collaborating closely with data scientists, BI analysts, and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate production‑grade pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure Fabric.
• Monitor pipeline health, set up alerts, respond to incidents and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across ingestion, transformation and serving layers.
• Contribute to the evolution of a medallion architecture and golden layer strategy.
• Implement data ingestion from heterogeneous sources, including SAP BW migrations.
• Ensure data integrity, availability, partitioning and access control.
• Work autonomously on complex tasks while communicating progress and blockers.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning and own backlog items end‑to‑end.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of data engineering experience with a strong focus on Azure technologies.
• Proven ability to deliver large‑scale data pipelines reliably.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging capabilities.
