Battery Engineer – Utility‑Scale BESS Integration

About the role

Yurtec Corporation is launching a 20 MW solar PV plant with a 30 MWh Battery Energy Storage System in Hurghada, Egypt. We are looking for a Battery Engineer (BESS Specialist) to lead the integration of advanced battery technologies and ensure seamless operation of the utility‑scale system.

Key responsibilities

• Drive utility‑scale BESS integration with photovoltaic (PV) systems.
• Manage Lithium‑ion and LTO cell technologies and associated Battery Management Systems (BMS).
• Provide technical justification for multi‑vendor battery integration.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or chemical engineering.
• 10 + years of verified utility‑scale BESS integration experience.
• 5 + years in similar roles involving battery technologies.
• Proven track record with Lithium‑ion and LTO cell management systems.

Required skills

• Lithium‑ion battery technology.
• LTO (Lithium‑Titanate) battery technology.
• Battery Management System (BMS) configuration and troubleshooting.
• Utility‑scale BESS integration.
• PV‑BESS system integration.
