BIM Coordinator

About the role

Hitachi Rail GTS Egypt is looking for a BIM Coordinator in Cairo to support the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and technologies for Hitachi projects. The role ensures efficiency and data integrity across project lifecycles.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain BIM execution plans (BEP) and project-specific BIM standards in line with company and industry best practices.
• Manage and coordinate BIM models from architecture, structure, MEP and other disciplines to identify clashes and ensure constructability.
• Facilitate information exchange and collaboration among stakeholders using BIM platforms.
• Perform model quality checks, validate data accuracy and ensure adherence to project requirements.
• Assist in creating and managing BIM content libraries.
• Support the integration of BIM with other project management and data management systems.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM processes and technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a BIM coordination or similar role within the AEC industry.
• Strong understanding of BIM principles and workflows.
• Experience with clash detection and resolution processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with project management software and data environments is a plus.
