BIM Engineer / BIM Modeler (Tekla, SketchUp, Trimble Connect)

About the role

Advansys is looking for a BIM Engineer with hands-on experience in Trimble's construction software suite. You will create and manage 3D models, produce construction documentation and coordinate project data across teams using Trimble Connect.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D structural models using Tekla Structures
• Develop conceptual and design models in Trimble SketchUp
• Produce shop drawings, general arrangement drawings and material lists from the models
• Manage collaboration, file sharing, model reviews and issue tracking through Trimble Connect
• Coordinate with engineers, architects and site teams to resolve clashes and design conflicts
• Ensure models follow project standards, BIM execution plans and quality requirements
• Update models and drawings according to design changes and client feedback
• Maintain accurate documentation and version control of project files

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering or a related field
• 2-3 years of practical experience in BIM modeling or detailing
• Understanding of BIM workflows, model coordination and clash detection
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
• Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Fluent English (written and spoken)

Required skills

• Tekla Structures, SketchUp and Trimble Connect
• Steel or concrete detailing (preferred)
• IFC and other BIM exchange formats (preferred)
• AutoCAD, Revit or Navisworks (preferred)
• Tekla Open API or SketchUp extensions (a plus, not required)
