Senior Application Engineer - AutoCAD 2D Warehouse Layouts

About the role

Advansys is looking for a Senior Application Engineer specializing in 2D AutoCAD layouts for warehouse racking systems, shuttle systems and related storage solutions. The role is based in Nasr City and involves preparing and modifying layouts according to client requirements, warehouse dimensions, product specifications and project constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and modify 2D AutoCAD layouts for warehouse racking, shuttle systems and storage solutions, and export drawings in the dimensions, scales and formats required by the Checkpoint team or clients.
• Create drawing templates and standard formats for consistent professional presentation.
• Generate and update Bills of Materials (BOM) based on approved layouts and system designs.
• Support the Checkpoint team in organizing the existing 2D AutoCAD library and improving drawing blocks, templates and component libraries.
• Potentially help develop a future 3D library with dynamic models and organized components.
• Coordinate with the Checkpoint team in Canada in English, join internal meetings to review layouts and project status, and communicate directly with clients when needed.
• Follow Checkpoint's internal processes, documentation standards and approval workflows, using its ERP and project management tools (mainly Zoho).

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in AutoCAD, especially for 2D layouts.
• Good understanding of warehouse layouts, storage systems and industrial drawings.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadlines.
• Experience preparing drawing templates and standard blocks, and generating or supporting BOM preparation.
• Good English communication skills and ability to work with Canadian staff, sales teams and project teams.
• Good organization skills and attention to detail.
