BIM Engineer - Wet Utilities

About the role

Egis is looking for a highly skilled BIM Engineer for utilities, with a focus on wet utilities, to help deliver multi-disciplinary projects. The role supports BIM authoring for utilities and helps set up, train and develop automation around Autodesk Civil 3D and Revit with the project BIM Leads. It is an expert-level Civil 3D role with professional-level Revit experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support the BIM Coordinator and project delivery teams in day-to-day BIM implementation.
• Develop 3D/2D dimensional models for drawing preparation, clash reporting and presentation, aligned with project LOD and modelling standards.
• Extract 3D models for clash analysis, schedule review and quantity surveying.
• Coordinate model interfaces with designers and engineers of other disciplines.
• Check models, drawings and deliverables against project and company quality standards and BIM requirements.
• Prepare engineering drawings from the model (general arrangements, part plans, profiles, sections, alignments, CSD, rainbow diagrams, schedules).
• Ensure Project Information Models follow the agreed TIDP, MIDP and CDE protocol, and prepare BIM package submissions.
• Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis and coordinate with the lead technical engineer.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of Civil 3D experience.
• Expert knowledge of pressure and gravity networks.
• Able to set up new project files for the team and maintain standards and libraries for Civil 3D templates, catalogues, parts and sub-assembly composer.
• Experience producing working drawings in Revit.

Required skills

• Autodesk Civil 3D (networks, alignments, profiles, surfaces, sub-assemblies, Dynamo Civil) and Revit.
• Proficiency in CAD design, 2D/3D.
• Scripting, design review, coordination, simulation and collaboration platforms (Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, ACC, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of BIM codes (ISO 19650, PAS 1192-2, BS 1192), LOD, naming conventions and parametric modelling.
