Budget Manager – Financial Planning & Forecasting

About the role

We are seeking a Budget Manager to lead the annual budgeting process, develop project‑based financial models and deliver analytical reports on cost overruns for a leading real‑estate developer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation, consolidation and review of corporate and departmental annual budgets aligned with group strategic goals.
• Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly rolling forecasts reflecting site progress, market changes and sales velocity.
• Coordinate cash‑flow projections with Treasury to ensure funding for critical construction milestones.
• Translate technical master plans into detailed feasibility studies (IRR, NPV, Payback Period) and build “what‑if” scenario models.
• Monitor actual expenditure against approved budgets, investigate variances and support value‑engineering initiatives.
• Prepare accurate budgeting MIS statements and recommend process improvements.
• Manage the budgeting team’s performance, set objectives and support audit reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in FP&A or budgeting, with at least 5 years in a senior role within a real‑estate development environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Professional membership such as CMA, FB&A or CFA.

Required skills

• Financial modeling and feasibility analysis (IRR, NPV, Payback Period).
• Budget preparation, rolling forecasts and variance analysis.
• Cash‑flow projection and MIS reporting.
