Buyer – Procurement (Hybrid, New Cairo)

About the role

As a Buyer at Bupa in New Cairo, you will be responsible for sourcing goods and services efficiently, competitively and responsibly. Working in a hybrid model, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver value and support Bupa’s health‑focused mission.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sourcing activities across assigned procurement categories and develop category and purchasing plans.
• Lead sourcing projects from planning through contract award and implementation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
• Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve value and efficiency.
• Drive procurement timelines and ensure effective delivery of sourcing activities.
• Promote best practices and support a strong procurement culture across the organisation.
• Maintain professional, ethical supplier relationships and protect commercial confidentiality.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, sourcing or category management with a proven track record of delivering cost savings.
• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and support contract negotiations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Commercial awareness and confidence to challenge constructively.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Degree‑level qualification or equivalent experience; MCIPS qualification desirable.
