Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at As‑Salam International Hospital. This full‑time, on‑site position in Fifth, West Virginia involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pre‑operative, intra‑operative and post‑operative nursing care for cardiothoracic surgery patients.
• Assist surgeons during operations, ensuring sterile technique and proper instrument handling.
• Monitor vital signs, manage wound care, and administer prescribed medications.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and adhere to safety and medical protocols.
• Educate patients and families on post‑surgery care and recovery plans.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the broader clinical team to ensure a safe environment.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
• Experience in surgical nursing, critical care, or cardiothoracic nursing.
• Previous work in a cardiothoracic surgical unit is preferred.
• Commitment to compliance with healthcare safety standards and protocols.

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
