Center Operations Manager – Donation Center

About the role

The Center Operations Manager is accountable for the end‑to‑end technical operations of the Donation Center, ensuring safe and efficient plasma collection from registration through post‑donation follow‑up. The role combines people leadership, operational oversight, and continuous improvement to meet key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Donor Center Technicians, Phlebotomists, Plasma Processors, and a Training Coordinator.
• Ensure all staff receive timely, competency‑based training and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Supervise daily donation operations, monitor donor flow, recruitment, retention, and net yields.
• Analyse operational data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Manage risk, resolve facility issues, and oversee compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide strategic input for marketing plans and optimize donor experience.
• Oversee product and bio‑hazard waste shipments, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Document, investigate, and perform root‑cause analysis for deviations and unsuitable test results.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing operations in a medical or donation‑center environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on ethics, integrity, and talent development.
• Ability to analyze data, drive process enhancements, and manage risk.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for plasma collection and waste handling.
