Center Operations Manager

About the role

The Center Operations Manager is accountable for the technical operations of a Donation Center, overseeing the full donation process from registration through post‑donation follow‑up. The role ensures daily operations comply with policies, guarantees donor safety and satisfaction, and drives performance against key KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of donor center technicians, phlebotomists, plasma processors, and training coordinators.
• Ensure all staff receive timely, competency‑based training and provide regular coaching and performance reviews.
• Supervise donation operations, monitor donor recruitment and retention, and implement improvement plans for donor flow and net yields.
• Analyse operational data, identify gaps, and propose enhancements to processes, risk management, and facility issues.
• Coordinate with internal functions such as Quality, Marketing, Laboratory, Procurement, Finance, Facility Management, and HR, as well as external stakeholders including donors, health authorities, and community organisations.
• Prepare periodic performance reports for the Center Manager and Medical Director, highlighting operational metrics and corrective actions.
• Oversee product and bio‑hazard waste shipments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing teams in a donation or medical environment.
• Strong understanding of donor safety, regulatory compliance, and quality control.
• Ability to analyse data and drive operational improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
