Center Physician – Full‑Time (Tanta)

About the role

The Center Physician works under the supervision of the Center Manager and the Plasma Operations & Medical Director to ensure donor safety and plasma quality. This full‑time position is based in Tanta and involves overseeing the medical aspects of the plasmapheresis donation process.

Key responsibilities

• Select suitable plasmapheresis donors according to policies and clinical criteria.
• Monitor compliance with medical procedures to protect donor and product safety.
• Certify, train, and evaluate the center’s medical staff on donor assessment and regulatory standards.
• Conduct physical examinations, review donor documentation, and obtain informed consent.
• Educate donors on high‑risk behaviors and manage self‑exclusion decisions.
• Notify and counsel donors testing positive for infectious disease markers.
• Handle donor adverse events and provide appropriate care.
• Review laboratory results (SPE, syphilis, total protein) and approve or defer donors accordingly.
• Recommend SOP improvements and deliver education sessions to medical staff.
• Maintain cGMP and good documentation practices, and act on QA reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (required); postgraduate studies preferred.
• Clinical experience in a GxP‑regulated environment.
• Strong decision‑making and assertiveness in a medical setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
