Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

About the role

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will lead CYBER’s information security strategy, aligning security initiatives with business goals and regulatory requirements. This full‑time, hybrid position is based in Cairo with the flexibility to work partially from home.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement security policies, frameworks, and governance structures.
• Oversee day‑to‑day security operations, threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Partner with executive leadership and department heads to assess risk, prioritize initiatives, and support secure digital transformation.
• Guide security architecture for applications and infrastructure, and manage security awareness programs.
• Develop, test, and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage security vendors, tools, and produce regular risk and compliance reports.
• Lead, mentor, and grow the security team.

Required profile

• Proven experience building enterprise‑wide security programs and leading cross‑functional initiatives.
• Strong background in information security management, threat detection, incident response, and risk assessment.
• Hands‑on experience with application security, secure SDLC, and code review practices.
• Experience in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, and resilience strategies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls frameworks.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Security technologies: SIEM, EDR, IAM, DLP.
• Secure SDLC and code review.
