Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the role

Octopus by RTG seeks an experienced Chief Technology Officer to shape the technical vision of a next‑generation digital wealth management platform. The role focuses on strategy, architecture, security, and AI integration rather than day‑to‑day coding.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own end‑to‑end architecture for mobile (iOS, Android), web portals, AI services, backend systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Establish technology standards, architectural principles and engineering best practices across microservices, event‑driven systems, APIs and real‑time data platforms.
• Drive technology roadmaps, scalability, performance, resilience and technical debt management.
• Set the AI strategy, oversee LLM‑powered services, conversational AI and intelligent automation while ensuring governance, bias mitigation and regulatory compliance.
• Own security architecture, including authentication, authorization, encryption, API security and identity management, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, conduct architecture reviews and define hiring criteria.
• Act as the primary technology advisor to executives, clients and partners, translating technical concepts into business recommendations.

• Proven experience leading technology strategy and architecture for complex, regulated platforms.
• Strong collaboration skills with product, engineering, AI and business stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate technical vision to executive and client audiences.
