Clinic Officer (Nurse) – On‑site at Mining Site

About the role

The Clinic Officer (Nurse) provides round‑the‑clock emergency medical response, primary health care, and occupational health monitoring for all employees and contractors at the Sukari gold mine in Marsa Alam, Egypt. Working in a remote industrial environment, the role is the first line of defence for workplace injuries, acute illnesses, and emergency stabilisations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver emergency triage, trauma stabilisation, wound care and manage acute medical conditions on‑site.
• Conduct routine occupational health checks including audiometry, spirometry and vision testing, and issue fitness‑for‑duty clearances.
• Maintain clinic inventory, pharmaceuticals and lifesaving equipment such as defibrillators, oxygen supplies and trauma kits.
• Manage digital and physical patient records, injury logs and ensure compliance with medical confidentiality standards.
• Perform sanitation, food‑handling and water‑quality audits to prevent outbreaks and support preventive health programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Active nursing licence issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Health/Egyptian Nursing Syndicate.
• 3–5 years of nursing experience, preferably with 1–2 years in an industrial site, remote clinic, emergency department or ICU.
• Experience in occupational health and workplace hygiene audits.

Required skills

• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• ITLS (International Trauma Life Support) or PHTLS (Pre‑Hospital Trauma Life Support) – strong asset.
• Proficiency in audiometry, spirometry and vision testing procedures.
• Good computer literacy for managing electronic medical records.
