Cloud & Network Engineer

About the role

Living Stones Group (LSG) is seeking a Cloud & Network Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of clients worldwide. The role combines remote work with occasional on‑site presence in Cairo, providing both strategic and hands‑on technical expertise across Microsoft 365, Azure, and network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimise Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint/Teams permissions.
• Design, install and maintain network infrastructure such as routers, switches, LAN, WAN, WLAN and VPN solutions.
• Implement data‑security measures using Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, firewalls, and cloud‑based backup solutions.
• Perform routine monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting of network and cloud tenants.
• Provide remote or on‑site technical support and document all activities in LSG’s service‑desk system.
• Stay up‑to‑date with security standards, authentication protocols and apply them to daily tasks.
• Collaborate across departments to design, test, implement and document solutions for LSG and its clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
• Support VoIP systems including Polycom, Linphone, ATA, E‑Fax and FreePBX configuration.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
• Academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Microsoft 365 certification (Administrator Associate or Security Administrator).
• Fortinet NSE 4 or higher certification.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for client and team interactions.

• Microsoft 365 Administration (user management, security policies, mail flow).
• Azure Cloud services and hybrid identity environments.
• LAN, WAN, WLAN and VPN design and implementation.
• Network security – Fortinet/FortiGate preferred.
• Microsoft 365 Defender and Endpoint Manager (Intune).
• VoIP configuration – Polycom, Linphone, ATA, E‑Fax, FreePBX.
