Commissioning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead on‑site testing, start‑up and hand‑over of mechanical, electrical and automation equipment. The role ensures that installed systems operate according to design specifications and supports a smooth transition to full production.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical and automation systems.
• Perform functional testing, loop checks and system validation on‑site.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during start‑up and commissioning phases.
• Coordinate with project, engineering and installation teams to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Prepare commissioning reports, punch lists and technical documentation.
• Provide on‑site training and support to operations and maintenance personnel.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures throughout commissioning.
• Support root‑cause analysis for recurring faults and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in commissioning, start‑up or field engineering.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PLCs, control panels, sensors and actuators.
• Experience with industrial automation systems and SCADA/HMI interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical and P&ID drawings.
• Solid troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with international safety standards such as ISO and OSHA.
