Compliance Officer

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Compliance Officer in Cairo to support its businesses. The role ensures compliance with relevant regulations, manages compliance risks, maintains and develops regulatory relationships and upholds high standards of ethical conduct. It sits within the IMEA Compliance team and supports a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, mitigate compliance (and where relevant legal) risks and enhance operational integrity.
• Support the wider IMEA Compliance team across the region, ensuring adherence to regional and global compliance standards.
• Help develop and implement compliance strategies, conduct risk assessments and improve the compliance framework.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law or a related field.
• Exposure to compliance in a regulated business with an understanding of local regulations; ideally 5+ years of experience in a compliance or related role, preferably in insurance or banking.
• Arabic, English and French speaking, writing and reading.

Required skills

• Strong communication with stakeholders and problem-solving under pressure.
• Analytical approach, comfortable using technology to support deliverables.
