Cook – Food & Beverage Team

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook to join our Food & Beverage team at Marriott International in Cairo. The successful candidate will prepare and cook a variety of dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, and measuring.
• Cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and complete food preparation checklists.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor food quality during preparation, test doneness, and ensure proper portioning.
• Set up and break down workstations, serve food, and maintain a clean, disinfected kitchen environment.
• Check and record appliance and food temperatures, and follow all safety and security policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Minimum of one year of relevant kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work standing for long periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.

Required skills

• Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Food preparation and cooking techniques.
