Cook – Full-time

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team at a Marriott hotel in Cairo. The successful candidate will prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, and measuring.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Test and monitor food for proper doneness and quality throughout preparation.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen environment.
• Check and ensure correct temperatures of appliances and food items.
• Follow all company safety, security, and hygiene policies; report any hazards or incidents.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
