Cook – Full-time position

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a reliable Cook to join its kitchen team in Cairo. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food‑preparation checklists.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Test foods for doneness, monitor quality during preparation, and ensure correct portioning.
• Set‑up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Check and maintain proper temperature of appliances and food items.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies, reporting any issues promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift objects up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions.
