Cost Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Cost Accountant to join our finance team in 10th of Ramadan. The role focuses on recording, analyzing and reporting manufacturing costs to support accurate financial reporting and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Record and analyze direct material, direct labor and manufacturing overhead costs, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Prepare periodic cost reports and cost sheets for units, projects and operations for internal management review.
• Monitor cost variances by comparing actual costs to standard or budgeted figures, investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, procurement and inventory departments to gather cost data and provide financial guidance.
• Reconcile cost accounts, support internal and external audits, and maintain accurate cost records.
• Calculate inventory costs using approved costing methods (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average) and update COGS and inventory valuation for financial reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Previous experience in cost accounting, financial accounting or cost analysis preferred.
