Cost Control & Financial Analyst

About the role

Sabbour Consulting is seeking a Cost Control & Financial Analyst to support its financial performance across engineering and construction projects. The role will monitor project and operational costs, prepare financial analyses, and deliver management reports that enable data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze project and operational costs against approved budgets.
• Support cost allocation and tracking across departments and projects.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, and key financial performance indicators.
• Prepare variance analysis between budget, forecast, and actual results.
• Participate in the annual budgeting process and assist with rolling forecasts.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
• Develop KPIs and performance dashboards, including interactive Power BI dashboards.
• Maintain financial databases, reporting templates, and ERP (Odoo) reporting.
• Recommend improvements to reporting processes and financial controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, and management reporting.
• Experience in construction, engineering or real‑estate sectors is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Odoo.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas, dashboards).
• Strong Power BI proficiency for dashboard creation.
• Financial modeling and data analysis.
• Budgeting, forecasting and cost‑accounting principles.
• Experience with Odoo ERP reporting.
