Cost Control Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Cost Control Manager to lead expense monitoring, budgeting and inventory oversight for the first Morgans Originals hotel in Egypt. The role is responsible for ensuring that all costs are aligned with budget targets while preserving the high standards of guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse hotel expenses across all departments, reviewing daily, weekly and monthly financial reports to identify variances.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality or guest satisfaction.
• Assist in preparing annual operating budgets and cost‑control forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
• Track actual expenditures versus budgeted amounts and produce variance reports.
• Oversee inventory management for food & beverage, housekeeping and maintenance, ensuring proper stock rotation and minimizing waste.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system data.
• Support procurement by reviewing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers and ensuring purchases stay within budget.
• Prepare detailed cost‑control reports covering labour, food, beverage and operational costs for senior management.
• Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with cost‑control policies and recommend corrective actions.
