Cost Control Team Leader

About the role

The Cost Control Team Leader will head a group of senior cost controllers, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost planning, cash‑flow monitoring and productivity analysis across multiple projects. This role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on support to maintain project profitability and financial discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce all department cost‑control procedures and manuals.
• Review project budgets, coordinate resource allocation and issue original budgets.
• Lead the team in updating monthly budgets to reflect scope changes.
• Audit monthly cost reports, highlight critical issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor cost plans, identify major deviations and drive necessary actions.
• Audit invoice status and liaise with relevant parties to resolve outstanding items.
• Prepare cash‑flow analyses and monthly productivity reports, suggesting improvement areas.
• Support the Cost Control Manager in risk identification and mitigation.
• Lead preparation of project cost close‑out reports and provide feedback to stakeholders.
• Evaluate resource efficiency, propose corrective measures and ensure compliance with HSE policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Commerce.
• Professional certification such as PMP, PRMG or CCE is preferred.
• Minimum 9 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a management role.
• Very good command of English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Oracle ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Primavera project‑management software.
