Credit Analyst – Hotel Finance

About the role

We are looking for a Credit professional to join our hotel’s finance team. The role involves assessing creditworthiness, managing accounts receivable and ensuring compliance with the hotel’s credit policies to protect cash flow and minimise risk.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate credit applications from corporate clients, travel agents and groups, set appropriate credit limits and monitor accounts for risk.
• Oversee the full accounts‑receivable cycle: issue invoices, track payments, follow up overdue balances and maintain accurate aging reports.
• Enforce the hotel’s credit policy, approve or decline credit extensions and ensure payment terms are respected.
• Lead collections activities, resolve billing disputes, negotiate payment plans and coordinate with legal or external agencies when necessary.
• Prepare regular reports on receivables, aging, collections performance and credit risk for senior management.
• Support the preparation of financial statements by ensuring all receivables are correctly recorded.
• Supervise and train the credit and accounts‑receivable team, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit assessment, accounts receivable or collections, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and identify risk.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage client relationships and resolve disputes.
• Leadership experience or ability to coach a small finance team.
