Culture-Communication and Coordination Expert

About the role

The European Union Communication and Visibility in Egypt project supports the EU Delegation in Egypt in strengthening communication, cultural diplomacy, visibility and public engagement around the EU-Egypt partnership. This part-time assignment, advertised by CID Consulting in Cairo, supports the coordination, communication, visibility, promotion and documentation of cultural diplomacy and cultural engagement activities. The expert works under the supervision of the Team Leader, who handles quality control and additional tasks.

Key responsibilities

• EUMS Monthly Cultural Calendar: map and follow up monthly cultural activities of EU Member States, embassies and cultural institutes in Egypt; compile event information, visuals, logos, links and content; coordinate with cultural focal points and stakeholders; liaise with the graphic designer so the calendar is published no later than 10 days before the end of each month
• European Day of Languages (September 2026): coordinate and implement the event, including stakeholder coordination, communications, logistics, invitations, visibility materials and social media and press release dissemination
• Document results, best practices and lessons learned, and prepare an event report
• Maintain an archive of cultural activity documentation, contact list, visibility and communication materials and media assets
• Monitor and evaluate communication activities and identify best practices to strengthen future ones

Required profile

• University degree in Communications, Cultural Management, Media, International Relations or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cultural coordination, communication, event management or cultural diplomacy
• Experience coordinating with cultural institutes, embassies, festivals or cultural initiatives is highly desirable
• Excellent command of Arabic and English
• Responsive, organised and able to work under tight timelines
