Customer Engineer – ATM Maintenance & Support

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Engineer (ATM CE) to deliver high‑quality technical support and maintenance for ATMs and self‑checkout systems across South Africa. The role ensures equipment reliability and customer satisfaction through timely on‑site service and proactive communication.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain hardware of ATMs and related devices.
• Produce performance reports, install modifications, and provide multi‑vendor maintenance.
• Maintain day‑to‑day customer relationships, update customers on equipment changes, and escalate issues as needed.
• Diagnose problems using call information and on‑site investigation, owning issues until resolution per SLA.
• Process stock movements and callout details via a mobile application, and log status updates throughout the day.
• Interact with customers and third‑party service providers both remotely and in person.
• Travel throughout South Africa to perform installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Participate in standby rosters for weekends, public holidays, or shift work when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and structured troubleshooting methodologies.
• Proven problem‑solving and analytical abilities in a field‑service environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
