Customer Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Engineer to act as the technical bridge between enterprise customers and the OpenOpen.cx AI‑native support platform. In this hands‑on role you will work directly with customers, guide onboarding, troubleshoot integrations and ship code enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact, responding quickly to customer queries via Slack or video calls and owning end‑to‑end resolution.
• Lead technical onboarding and implementation, configuring the platform and integrating with help‑desk tools such as Zendesk, Intercom and HubSpot.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues in live customer environments, including third‑party integrations.
• Develop and ship fixes, integration enhancements, and small features directly in the Node.js/TypeScript codebase.
• Collaborate with product engineering by sharing customer context, escalating systemic problems and influencing the product roadmap.
• Build deep expertise in the AI agents and prompt‑engineering capabilities to advise customers on optimizing their support operations.
• Document recurring issues, solutions and integration patterns to enrich internal knowledge bases and customer resources.

Required profile

• 2‑3+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with confidence presenting on video calls to enterprise stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving startup environment, delivering quickly and iterating based on feedback.

Required skills

• Node.js development.
