Customer Project Technical Senior Engineer

About the role

Schneider Electric is looking for a highly skilled Customer Project Technical Senior Engineer to join its engineering team in New Cairo. You will lead advanced power system studies and ensure reliable, efficient, and safe electrical solutions for utility, industrial, and renewable energy clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform power system studies using ETAP and Ecodial, including load flow, short‑circuit, arc‑flash, harmonics, relay coordination, motor‑starting, transient stability, and cable ampacity analyses.
• Develop and validate system models from client data and field measurements.
• Analyse results, prepare detailed technical reports and recommendations.
• Support design and optimisation of electrical systems for new and existing facilities.
• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers and customers to define study scopes and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, NERC and NFPA 70E standards.
• Provide technical support during commissioning, troubleshooting and installation.
• Lead technical execution of projects from design through delivery, managing specifications, timelines and budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in power system analysis and project execution.
• Strong customer‑centric mindset with proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ETAP software.
• Proficiency with Ecodial software.
• Load flow, short‑circuit, arc‑flash, harmonics, relay coordination, motor‑starting and transient stability analysis.
• Cable ampacity sizing and system modelling.
• Knowledge of IEEE, IEC, NERC and NFPA 70E standards.
