Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Data Engineer to join our Data Management and AI team and help build scalable data platforms that power analytics and AI initiatives across our digital banking ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop batch and real‑time data pipelines, implementing ETL/ELT workflows from APIs, databases and event streams.
• Develop and maintain streaming pipelines using Kafka or similar platforms, ensuring low‑latency and fault‑tolerant delivery.
• Create data enrichment and transformation workflows, applying SQL transformations across raw → bronze → silver → gold layers.
• Design and optimise data warehouse models and schemas for analytical workloads.
• Implement data validation, quality checks and monitor pipeline performance for reliability.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, proactive and results‑driven with a collaborative mindset.
• Detail‑oriented, especially regarding data quality and compliance.
• Adaptable and eager to grow in a fast‑paced fintech environment.

Required skills

• Linux command line tools, Bash, SSH, SFTP, IP ports, networking concepts.
• Python programming and SQL.
• Data modeling, data warehousing concepts, schema design.
• ETL/ELT pipeline development, experience with Informatica PowerCenter, Kafka, NiFi.
• Data quality validation, performance monitoring tools.
