Data & Market Intelligence Lead

About the role

York Towers is seeking an experienced Data & Market Intelligence Lead to shape the strategy, architecture, and delivery of its data intelligence capabilities. This hands‑on leadership position blends deep machine‑learning expertise with strong execution, overseeing production ML systems, market‑data strategy, and the growth of the Data & Market Intelligence function.

Key responsibilities

• Define the modelling roadmap and make build‑vs‑buy decisions, leveraging AWS SageMaker, Personalize and other tools.
• Design models that overcome cold‑start challenges using sparse first‑party data and lead acquisition of external market data (REGA, public records, macro‑economic indicators, third‑party listings).
• Own the full MLOps lifecycle: data and feature pipelines, model registry, automated training/retraining, CI/CD, serving, and live monitoring for drift and performance.
• Architect scalable, low‑latency AI APIs to serve up to 100k users and millions of inference requests per month.
• Establish ground‑truth evaluation, accuracy targets, drift monitoring and explainability for users.
• Ensure PDPL compliance, data anonymisation and governance in partnership with the platform team.
• Expose clean APIs for consumption by Laravel/TypeScript teams.
• Recruit, lead and scale the Data & Market Intelligence chapter.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in machine learning or data science.
• Proven track record delivering production‑ready ML systems at scale.
• Strong leadership and ability to build and manage a technical team.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• AWS SageMaker and AWS Personalize.
• MLOps practices (CI/CD, model registry, versioning, monitoring).
• API design and deployment (high‑throughput, low‑latency).
• Data pipeline engineering.
• Experience with Laravel or TypeScript integration.
• Data governance and PDPL compliance.
