Data Scientist II

About the role

EVA Pharma, a pharmaceutical company dedicated to improving health and well-being, is looking for a Data Scientist II to join its team in Cairo. The role combines data analysis, machine learning and generative AI applications in areas such as drug discovery, clinical research and patient engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean and analyse structured and unstructured datasets to support data-driven decisions.
• Build and validate predictive models and machine learning algorithms for business and healthcare challenges.
• Apply large language models, fine-tuning and retrieval-augmented generation to build generative AI solutions for drug discovery, clinical research and patient engagement.
• Run statistical tests, find patterns and correlations, and design experiments to validate hypotheses and measure impact.
• Turn findings into actionable insights through Power BI dashboards and visual reports.
• Stay up to date with AI and ML technologies, use modern data science tools, and work with data engineers to deploy and optimise production-ready models.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
• Solid foundation in statistics, data analysis and hypothesis testing.
• Ability to communicate complex analytical insights clearly to diverse audiences.

Required skills

• Strong command of Python and SQL, with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Power BI for dashboards and reports.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
• Familiarity with Hugging Face and LangChain is highly desirable.
