Junior Front-End Software Engineer

About the role

Bask Health is expanding its software engineering team and is looking for a Junior Front-End Software Engineer in Cairo. The engineer works directly with the CEO and CTO to build and design the software infrastructure that serves as the backbone of a telehealth platform. The platform is a multi-tenant monorepo built with Next.js and React on the front, tRPC and Prisma on the back, deployed on SST, with TypeScript throughout.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and ship high-quality product experiences, owning key surfaces end to end from concept through production.
• Write elegant, well-tested code within a real test suite.
• Work across the stack, following a feature from the interface through the API to the database, with no handoffs.
• Use AI tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to draft intent, explore implementations, scaffold components and refactor.
• Prototype fast and validate with real patients and care teams, refining before full commitment.
• Build reusable, well-architected patterns and make automation legible and trustworthy.
• Champion performance, accessibility and reliability, and share documented AI-native workflows.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience; a full-stack generalist who has taken a product from 0 to 1.
• Strong experience building paid products and services is preferred.
• Comfortable working independently and owning entire projects or large parts of the codebase.
• Strong communicator, able to explain technical problems, constraints and timelines.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, unstructured startup environment.

Required skills

• Front-end: React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind and JavaScript.
• Backend: tRPC, Drizzle ORM, SQL, Node, SST.
• React Native or Expo experience is a plus.
