Demi Chef De Partie

About the role

Join the culinary team at a leading international hotel brand in Cairo as a Demi Chef De Partie. You will support the kitchen brigade by preparing high‑quality dishes, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth service flow.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients – portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
• Cook and plate hot and cold dishes, adhering to quality, presentation and safety standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Monitor cooking progress, test food for doneness and adjust as needed.
• Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect tools, surfaces and equipment.
• Check and maintain correct temperatures for appliances and food items.
• Follow company safety, security and hygiene policies, reporting any incidents or maintenance needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions.

Required skills

• Food preparation techniques (portioning, chopping, mixing).
• Operating kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers).
• Basic food safety and hygiene practices.
