Development Manager

About the role

The Development Manager will lead feasibility studies, market assessments and financial evaluations for new real‑estate projects. This senior position coordinates cross‑functional teams to ensure projects progress from concept through approval while meeting budget, schedule and sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies, market assessments and financial evaluations for new projects.
• Define development briefs, project scopes and business cases.
• Oversee consultants during master planning and concept design stages.
• Coordinate closely with Design, Project Management, Sales and Finance teams.
• Manage project approvals, permits and regulatory interactions.
• Monitor development schedules, budgets and key milestones.
• Identify risks, constraints and opportunities during planning.
• Support value engineering and optimisation of layouts and development mix.
• Prepare reports, presentations and investment packages for management approval.
• Lead stakeholder coordination and communication regarding development progress.
• Ensure sustainability, infrastructure readiness and service integration considerations.
• Mentor and guide junior development staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning or a related field.
• Post‑graduate degree (MBA, Real Estate or similar) is an advantage.
• 10–12 years of experience in real estate or mixed‑use development.
• Proven track record managing multi‑disciplinary development projects.
