About the role
Join Siemens Digital Industry Software as a Digital Twin Intern within the Strategic Student Program (SSP). You will work on a 2‑month (extendable to 6 months) summer project in Cairo, collaborating with the Verification Consulting Team to create a reusable 3D visualization client that integrates with the VSI co‑simulation framework.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop a generic, reusable 3D visualization client compatible with VSI co‑simulation.
- Implement seamless signal mapping and communication between VSI clients and the visualization layer.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code in Python and C++.
Required profile
- 3rd or 4th‑year student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
- Team player with good communication and presentation abilities.
Required skills
- Python
- C++
- Knowledge of PID controllers and control‑system fundamentals (preferred)
- Experience with 3D visualization tools such as Simcenter 3D, PyBullet, RViz, VPython, or MuJoCo (preferred)
- Familiarity with robotics modeling tools like ROS, URDF, or MuJoCo (preferred)
- Understanding of FMI/FMU co‑simulation standards (preferred)
