Director of Learning & Development

About the role

The Director of Learning & Development will lead the design, delivery and evaluation of all training initiatives across the property. Reporting to the Executive Committee, you will ensure that learning programs are aligned with the company’s mission, vision and business objectives, and that employees acquire the skills needed to drive guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the full training calendar, including compliance courses such as CPR, OSHA, fire safety and harassment prevention.
• Design, deliver and continuously improve core programs such as Orientation, Leadership Skills, Trainer Certification, Diversity Training and Management Development.
• Conduct needs assessments, create customized learning solutions and measure ROI of all training activities.
• Integrate adult‑learning principles and modern instructional methods into all curricula.
• Oversee the Management Development Program and coach managers to enhance performance and leadership capabilities.
• Maintain strong relationships with property leadership to ensure training supports business results.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field plus at least 2 years of HR or training experience, or a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with a certified‑trainer qualification (no experience required).
• Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate training programs for diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical mindset to assess training effectiveness and report on outcomes.
