Donor Center Technician – Plasmapheresis

About the role

We are seeking a Donor Center Technician to conduct donor screening and operate the automated plasmapheresis machine at our Tal El Kebir facility. The role ensures safe, compliant plasma collection while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑donation medical screening, including vital signs, medical history, and finger‑stick hematocrit and protein measurements.
• Set up, monitor, and disconnect the plasmapheresis machine according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Operate the automated plasmapheresis system and troubleshoot any technical alerts.
• Maintain accurate donor records, ensure confidentiality, and provide feedback to ineligible donors.
• Report unsafe conditions, assist in emergency medical procedures, and follow cGMP and local regulatory guidelines.
• Promote donor satisfaction through courteous interaction and responsive service.

Required profile

• Graduate of a nursing program or Health Technical Institute (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of clinical experience; experience in plasma or whole‑blood collection preferred.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work in a highly regulated, fast‑paced medical environment.

Required skills

• Operation of automated plasmapheresis machines.
• Hematocrit and protein measurement using hematastat and refractometer.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of cGMP and SOP compliance.
